Making the leap from BubbleIQ to Halp

So, you're ready to make the jump from BubbleIQ to Halp. We've taken all our learning from the last few years on BubbleIQ and re-built Halp from the ground up to offer a great in-Slack experience for both the ticket requester and the agent. In the coming months, we will be investing heavily into new functionality in Halp around Ticket Recipes, Halp Answers, and many more integrations to ticketing platforms and workflow APIs.

We want to make it super easy for you to switch to Halp! One Slack limitation we're dealing with during the migration process is Slash commands. If different Slack Apps have the same slash commands, then the most recently installed Slack App takes priority.

Halp Slash Commands: /support /helpdesk /halp

BubbleIQ Slash Commands: /support /helpdesk

If you weren't using the /support or /helpdesk commands, then you can install Halp right away and there will be no conflicts. No need to keep reading this article, hop over to halp.com and add it to Slack!

If you are using the commands, then you have a few options:

1. Migrate from BubbleIQ to Halp with Zendesk Sync

Trial Halp in sandbox mode

  1. Install Halp at halp.com.
  2. Reinstall BubbleIQ by going to bubbleiq.com, clicking add to Slack, and authorizing Slack but not Zendesk. That will cause slash commands to continue to route to BubbleIQ while you are testing Halp.
  3. Go through Halp onboarding but remain in Sandbox mode so non-agents can’t make tickets.

2. Turn off BubbleIQ and Zendesk and make the full switch to Halp

  1. Click on BubbleIQ app icon in any channel and click ‘Settings’.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click ‘Remove App’.
  3. This disconnects the old BubbleIQ threads from syncing and removes triggers from your Zendesk.

  5. Go through on-boarding and turn off Sandbox mode.
  6. The slash commands will now be live on Halp.

Zendesk Ticket Import Service

Want to move over to Halp and leave Zendesk behind? Great! We’ve made an import tool that we can import historical ticket data from Zendesk so you get to keep all those metrics and knowledge hidden away in the ticket resolutions. Contact support@halp.com and we’ll schedule a time to import tickets for you.

BubbleIQ isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and we will continue to support it, but we are putting all future development resources towards our new product Halp. If there are specific functionality in BubbleIQ that prevents you from making the move to Halp please let us know at support@halp.com.
