How to make a billing admin in Halp

Updated by Rachel Armstrong

If you have a member of your team that needs access to Halp for billing purposes but won't be responding to any tickets, you can make them a billing admin without increasing your agent count. Billing admins only have access to the backend settings within the web client. Since they are not members of any queues, this means they will not be able to view any tickets or metrics. Here's the steps to create billing admins and Slack and MS Teams.

In Slack:

1) In the Slack app, use the /invite slash command on the user you want to make a billing admin in any triage channel, making the user an agent in Halp.

2) In your subdomain, have an existing Halp admin go to Settings > Agents. Then, make the user in question a Halp admin by clicking Edit User and selecting Admin from the dropdown.

3) In Slack, /remove the user from the triage channel.

In MS Teams:

1) In the Teams app, click the ... button next to the name of your triage team, and click Add member, then find the desired user and add them.

2) In teams.halp.com, have an existing Halp admin go to Settings > Agents. Then, make the user in question a Halp admin by clicking Edit User and selecting Admin from the dropdown.

3) In the Teams app, click the ... button next to the name of the triage team again, and click Manage team. Find the user you just made an admin in Halp, and click the X on their Teams user.

Once these steps are followed in either product, this admin user will now have access to the Halp web UI to input payment information without being counted as a billable agent.
